CHS Pics | No trunk-or-treating in the Capitol Hill trick or treat hot zone – Top Seattle

[ad_1]

You saw the Hilloweekend crowds of grown-up partygoers celebrating around Broadway and Pike/Pine. Here is a look at Hilloween 2023 from the streets of the Capitol Hill trick or treat zone around 16th and 17th Ave near Volunteer Park.

Like many essential services including public transit, the level of Hilloween enthusiasm is also back to pre-pandemic levels with lines of kids — and a few adults — scoring candy from the area’s haunted houses.

The area has remained a destination Halloween neighborhood thanks to yard displays and well-prepared neighbors who stock up every year on sometimes hundreds of dollars of candy. The neighborhood is one of several in the city that has developed a following and steady flow of Halloween visitors. Meanwhile, in other parts of the country, trunk-or-treating is on the rise. Fortunately, the Capitol Hill hot zone is a mostly walkable experience.

Eventually, trunk-or-treating or things like it could arrive here, and the Hilloween crowds could drift to other areas of Central Seattle and the city. For now, the streets of the hot zone remain a center of a Seattle Halloween.
