#2023-292322/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At approximately 1:10 AM on Monday, Oct. 9 , multiple calls were generated in the 9800 block of 48 Av SW, where two drivers were essentially joyriding at high speeds, loudly, in a residential neighborhood.
The two drivers, said to be in their teens, lost control of their vehicles, side-swiping several parked cars, before eventually losing control of one of their vehicles, abandoning it on residential property, and fleeing on foot.
The abandoned vehicle was thought to be an unreported stolen out of Tacoma, but Tacoma PD was unable to confirm this.
An area check for the suspects was negative.
